BASINGSTOKE, England, November 28 /PRNewswire/ — Shire plc (LSE: SHP, NASDAQ: SHPGY, TSX: SHQ) announces that the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has approved the registration of Solaraze(R) 3% Gel (diclofenac sodium) for the management of actinic keratosis (AK). Actinic keratosis is the most frequently occurring form of carcinoma ‘in situ’(1) and has approximately a 10% risk of developing into invasive squamous cell carcinoma (SCC)(2).
